Whose We Are
'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’
Matthew 28:19-20
At South Wishaw we believe that Jesus called us to be a Church that introduces people to him and equips them though discipleship for mission & service.
DISCIPLESHIP:
We are called, first and foremost, to be disciples of Jesus ourselves, growing in our love of him and our understanding of his ways. We seek to be a church that enables everyone, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to be close followers of Jesus, becoming more like him and discovering God's purpose for our lives.
MISSION:
Jesus also called us to make disciples of all nations and we want everyone to catch the vision and feel equipped to fulfil this call. We believe that people encounter Jesus through ‘whole-life’ discipleship: meaning we want everyone we meet, in every aspect of our lives, to see Jesus in us.
SERVICE:
In an increasingly divided world, God calls us to bring people and communities together. We strive to serve and help to build communities where people find healing, a sense of belonging across all generations and where everyone can fulfil their God-given potential.
